The Fall The day of the Catastrophe dawned bright and balmy. My little Wooble-kin were out doing their daily chores: picking nuts, tending the sheep, and laughing merrily along. I'd had a sense of foreboding since I awoke... It very quickly realized itself into danger. The incident was swift. Of a sudden, a heavy black mist rose from the ground in a line far outside the village. The ground began to shake, and my little Wooble-kin started to scream. I called for calm, but to no avail. With frightening speed, the quaking shook the ground apart. Crackles of black lightning reached skywards amidst the village. Parts of the ground actually started to fall through into an unknown abyss below. I could hear splashes. In a very short time, the entire village and surrounding greenery had collapsed into an underground sea, now surrounded by towering cliffs and a few small beaches. The Attack I had been standing near the edge of the village at the time, waiting for a messenger from a traveling friend. I was spared demise, and instead, now suffer an anguish unimaginable. A turtle saved me, clamping on to my pants and dragging me through the water to safety. All the while I watched in horror. As soon as the village had collapsed into the realm of what I now know to be the evil Sea Snakes, they swarmed my little Wooble-kin, rending them limb from limb. It was a horrible sight to behold. There was blood everywhere! And there was nothing I could do... But I do hold, in my heart, that some of my little Wooble-kin survived.

Fleeing Responsibility I could not bear to be in the area anymore. My mind had been run ragged, my emotions destroyed. It was time to strike out into the world, and begin a new Life. I'd always been fairly curious about advertising, to be perfectly honest. I thought I would try my hand at making pamphlets and spreading news and good cheer to the masses. But I could not pull my mind from the dark depths into which it had been thrust. I could not forget the sight of my little Wooble-kin being crushed, butchered, and maimed. My business failed horribly. Nobody wanted to read about the morbid goings-on of a small backwater midget village, it seemed. There was nothing I could do. Facing Reality I had to go back. It was as simple as that. I still knew, in my heart, that some of my little Wooble-kin had to be alive. I had to do my best to rescue them. I was their Father. Their Guardian. Their Caregiver. Their Grand Daddy Wooble. So back I went. Long and hard I toiled, gaining the good graces of the local animals, letting them get to know me, and hoping they would help me. My magic, I felt, would be strong enough, with righteousness behind it, to rescue any of my little Wooble-kin who had survived their ordeal this long. Accepting Fate I failed. The Sea Snakes laughed at me, toyed with me. By the time I made it to their King and their Mage, (no doubt, I see now, only because they let me) I was spent, and could do little. I made it away with my life only narrowly. I realized that I would need help. So to this day, I wait here, on this beach, for a kind adventurer to offer to help me rescue my little Wooble-kin. Will you be the one? If so... Please, get my attention by speaking my need. Speak the need of my little Wooble-kin.

Navigation All in all, the layout of the newly formed sea is fairly simple. I have made my camp on the south-eastern beach of the sea. Most of the underwater realm is impassable, as the plantlife grows far too thickly. In the deepest part, however, you can traverse a path to a large glowing rock. At its base is a small crack through which you can crawl, with a bit of squirming. Past that is a coral reef, where the Sea Snakes have made their home. It borders right on the far cliffs of the sea. They have tunneled into the cliffs to form their palace, and it is there you will find the King and their Mage. Inhabitants Here on the beach, and above on the cliff, life is relatively normal, despite that there simply was no beach or cliff here before at all. The first portion of the underwater realm is inhabited by the sort of things you would expect to inhabit a sea. Fish, eels, anemones, crabs; all can be found here. I suspect the Sea Snakes leave them be to promote a sense of normalcy on the unsuspecting diver. Past the rock, the Sea Snakes have taken over wholesale. They vary in size, ferocity, and cunning, but they are, without exception, all evil and all dangerous. Some, however, given the proper attention or gifts, may be given to provide information. Awareness There is nothing more important to know than to be aware of your surroundings. Always keep an eye out for things that stand out as abnormal. Sometimes, even things that may seem normal, but are noteworthy in their location, are worth an extra look at.
